it was exactly as advertised
it is the first sims game. with all expansions there is really nothing that can be said about it that hasnt already been said in the last 20 years. BUT this game is not 100% compatible with modern windows operating systems out of the box.. if anyone out there is haveing the same problem i did, its because new windows is not compatible with the old school DRM (piracy protection) that the sims used. (DISC checks will basically always fail and the game will never launch). there was a fix, i had to find a new version of the sims EXE file that bypasses the DISC check and swap it out with the sims exe file that installed with the rest of the program files. after that the game ran perfectly. it is the first sims game. with all expansions there is really nothing that can be said about it that hasnt already been said in the last 20 years. The Sims Complete Collection
I used to play the original Sims. I liked it very much, but after a while it got a little boring. I noticed when they came out with the Sims expansions packs that you could do so much more. Like being able to leave the house, new items to buy, and new careers. But spending twenty or more bucks on each one was a little too much for me. When I saw the Sims Complete Collection for PC included all seven expansion packs in one, I had to get it. I saw that brand new, it would cost about $40. So I went straight to Ebay and got it brand new for $26. I have been playing it for about an hour or so a day, and I haven't gotten tired of it yet! You can do things like invite someone to hang out downtown with you, go on a vacation, and cast spells on other Sims. My only complaint is sometimes the ... I used to play the original Sims. Anytime something goes wrong, and doesn't fix by restarting it, I just reinstall the whole game. My house and my Sim are still there when I reinstall it, so no worry about losing all my hard work. :) Overall, this is a great game!

Nostalgia overload
I was recently watching a lot of YouTube, came a cross a streamer who was playing the original Sims game, and I just had to have it. I grew up playing the GameCube port of this game. As good as that was, it doesn’t do it justice. I was always a huge fan of the SimCity series as well, so you really can’t go wrong with this. The Sims 2 is my first Sims game, but I never tried the original Sims game. Therefore, I purchased it for my collection.
