About this product

Product Information

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER Welcome to the Pendleton. Built as a tycoon's dream home in the 1880s and converted to luxury condominiums not quite a century later, the Gilded Age palace at the summit of Shadow Hill is a sanctuary for its fortunate residents. Scant traces remain of the episodes of madness, suicide, mass murder--and whispers of things far worse--that have scarred its grandeur almost from the beginning. But now inexplicable shadows caper across walls, security cameras relay impossible images, phantom voices mutter in strange tongues, not-quite-human figures lurk in the basement, elevators plunge into unknown depths. With each passing hour a terrifying certainty grows: Whatever drove the Pendleton's past occupants to their unspeakable fates is at work again. And as nightmare visions become real, as a deadly tide begins to engulf them, the people at 77 Shadow Street will find the key to humanity's future . . . if they can survive to use it. Includes the bonus novella The Moonlit Mind --first time in print

Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • Scary but good! Recommended!

Another great book by Dean Koontz! (My favorite author) I can always count on him to write a book I will love. This book was extremely scary and I didn't know if I could finish it. But I stuck with it and I was happy it had a good ending. Mr. Koontz has a way of writing that puts you right in the middle of the action. It's so real I get totally involved in the characters and situations. He is the best author ever! Highly recommended.

  • I will read this book again and again.

The main reason I bought this novel is I own every Dean Koontz novel I can purchase (within reason of price). That being said, there are interesting faster moving sections to this story, but parts of the book seems to drag a bit for me. Dean Koontz has (in my opinion) some great stories, and several times, while reading this novel, I had a creepy feeling going up my spine. Will I keep this book? Yes. Will I buy others from Dean Koontz? Naturally.

  • Good book

  • Great story!!

Being a big fan of Mr.Koontz's work, this is a very good read, and as usual he pays a lot of attention to details that most miss or get wrong. I would recommend this book to all readers who deeply enjoy a blend of mysticism and technology!
