    Cat on the Scent by Rita Mae Brown (2000)

    There is a series of 16 Mrs. Murphy cat mysteries by Rita Mae Brown. A friend lent me one to read and I had to have all 16. I bought 13 at one sale and now I'm buying the other 3 separately. The cats, dog, owl opossum and other animals talk to each other and help to solve the mysteries. The interactions of the people to the animals trying to tell the people something is so lifelike. If you like animals, you'll love this series.

    Cat on the Scent

    Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie are two of the most interesting mystery writers ever! The story flows with intimate details of food and country living. This series is a great read.
