    This one I'll keep in our library to see again.

    This film is the closest to reality of Irish life at that time as compared to other literature. The presentation was engaging and the actors superb. I take it personally in the sense that as a woman, what options were available? What choices would I have made under these conditions?

    Shows real life and the struggles and triumphs of poor people..

    This is about an Irish family who lost their mother and their dad is trying to raise them in 1920's Liverpool. The family is poor but proud and each member contributes to their survival. Characters are engaging and the story line takes unexpected twists and turns. I am enjoying it so far.
