    Marlene Dietrich as a saloon owner in Alaska in 1900.

    THE SPOILERS is entertaining from start to finish, but don't expect gritty realism. Marlene Dietrich, who gets first billing, is the star of the show. She has THREE attractive men (Randolph Scott, John Wayne, & Richard Barthelmess) vying for...maybe not her hand, but definitely her other body parts! As Cherry, the saloon owner with a heart of gold, Dietrich slinks around in skin-tight gowns, but she's the brains and the money behind everything that goes on in the frontier town of Nome, Alaska, in 1900. Cherry's black maid, Idabelle, is a stereotype, but like Cherry, there's a strong personality behind the caricature. The funniest scene is when Idabelle flirts with John Wayne after mistaking him for a black man, and he ends up wearing a feather boa. Although the ...

    Veterans Love those good old movies, Action packed, whether it be one man against all odd's like all of these Bill Jack movies, or be it Westerns, War movies. Veteran can relate to the trouble, & sacrifice. As a retired U.S. Marine, I know My fellow Veterans at the VA Hospital & Home will Love watching them over and over !!

    The Duke at his best

    This is a very good story ...and it has one of the best , if not the best , fight scene. The Duke and Marlene Dietrich have great chemistry in this action but also love story. I bought it because I wanted it on DVD as I already have the video. I highly recommend this movie, you'll watch it more than on ce.
