  • Pantech Duo - Good Phone

I've only had my Pantech Duo for a few days but overall, it's a pretty good phone for what it is. If you are a heavy duty corporate user, or someone that needs a really rugged phone, you should probably keep looking. If you want a well-featured, compact phone with a full keyboard, this may work well for you. So far, reception and voice quality is very good. I've had no issues with either. The slide out keyboards are very nice although they seem a little fragile so probably not best suited phone for someone that is rough with their phone. Also, absence of touch screen is a bit of a drawback but still pretty easy to maneuver through the screens. I found it pretty easy to go through and set up email, customize options to my preferences and such. Voice command works very well. Just ...

  • New Pantech Duo C810 Smart phone

The phone feels well made and it functions as described in the product advertisements that I read before buying. The screen is clear and bright. Voice calls are clear and text messages easy to send with the QWERTY key board. I like the quick response of Windows Mobile which is in the phones OS, as it is fairly intuitive and easy to use. The only negatives about the phone are: The 2 gigabyte limit to the external memory card capacity: The limit and somewhat clumsy process for installing Mp3 sounds as ring tones and alert tones. Overall I like the phone and, for the price paid, would purchase it again.

  • So far so good!

So far so good I am enjoying the phone. It took a minute to figure out where everything was in the menus and how all the buttons work but after you learn it its not so bad. Im not a big gadget phone person and havent fully explored ALL the features of the phone but I have learned to use all that I need. I love the dual slider function which was my main reason for choosing this phone. I dislike that the USB and charger jack are so proprietary. Also that the phone doesnt recognize more than a 2gb card. But I dont really need that much extra storage, it would just be nice to have as an option. Also wish the caller ID photos would be full screen when you got a call, but those are minor details. Good sound, good signal, mp3 ringtones, internet...Overall a nice phone.

  • Smart phone with no data contract

I like the Pantech Duo because it's the one smartphone you can get without needing a data plan. The only problem I can see right now is the inability to open a new word document, but once I sync it with my computer, that may change. I love setting my appointments, the two alarms, word, excel. I can work on the go without the distraction of the internet (tried once and hated). I save e-mails for my laptop, but it's nice to have a pda with my phone!

  • Pantech Duo C810

Well, how can I possibly be nice about a phone that has so many flaws? I was excited to get a smart phone but not spend a million dollars on one. The features looked enticing and the double slider looked fun and seemed to fit what I was looking for in a phone. Looks and ads can be very deceiving, the overall quality was not very well thought out and it operated very poorly. The Mechanical operation of the phone was incredibly flimsy and the sliding mechanisms often would catch on something inside and you would have to force it open, this goes for text'ing and the number pad for making calls. Another thing, the whole thing just felt cheap and the design seemed rushed just to get their product to market quickly. The phones everyday operations were a nightmare to use, you had to jump through ...
