  • Excellent! Loved it!

I've read all of the Preston/Child books, but felt lately that their two most interesting characters- enigmatic FBI Agent A. Perdergast and NYC detective Vinnie D'Agosta- had gotten stale in the last 2-3 books. The authors engaged in bizarre plotting, and in the process they sacrificed their two most interesting characters. Gone were the personal traits and eccentricities that made Pendergast and D'Agosta so fascinating. So it's nice to see both of them back in true form in 'Fever Dream'. Perdergast discovers that his wife was murdered in a very peculiar manner 12 years previously, and the hunt for her killer is on. And Pendergast is determined to avenge his wife's death. The plot is complex, Pendergast is once again his intelligent and reserved self, D'Agosta is his loyal sidekick, and ...

  • Good price, great read!

Just another outstanding chapter in the Pendergast saga. Recently I've read books by each author separately, and though each was a good read, their collaborations are by far the best in their genre. I'll leave the true reviews to those who excel at them. I just know what I like and I wish Preston and Child would write a novel a month!

  • Buy this book

I bought this because I am 'hooked' on Agent Pendergast. Best character in fiction I have encountered in ages. I confess I have not read this one yet...am trying to read the novels in chronological order (you should too). I confess to peeking at the first page and it looks like these authors are just getting better. Buy them all (start with Relic) and enjoy the ride!
