    Easy to apply

    We have owned several of these dìctaphones for use with voice recognition software over the last 25 years. This prìce point is very good value if you rely on voice recog. to help your business. There are newer and more up date machines but for our business we r familiar with this product and it requires little to no learning curve to apply. Thx KWDunbar

    durable handheld digital recorder, lower priced than competitive models

    Smaller than more recent Olympus ds-5000 and ds-7000 handheld digital recorders and compatible with 'Start-stop' dictation software used in many transcription settings. The SD card that comes with it is 32 MB, lower capacity than ds-5000 and later offerings from Olympus but all you will likely use before dumping off your file for transcription and usually contributes to substantially lower asking price. Has 5 folders (A-E) that provide convenient partitions should the device be shared between different users. Try to get one with all the accessories that originally came with it including the cradle, AC power adapter, power cords and USB cable that allows transfer of the files from the device to a computer- the USB cable separately is another $28.00 or so...

    While these originally came out in 2004, they are very well made and still have a lot of useful life left today (2018).

    Best Dig. Recorder to use with Voice Recognition Softw.

    This digital voice recorder was purchased with only goal of using it with Dragon NaturallySpeaking's voice recognition software. The recorder works seamlessly and it allows the user to create folders that once you sit it on its cradle it can automatically synchronize with the desktop or laptop using the included DSS Player Pro software that makes the configuration a breeze. I highly recommend this product.
