    Brilliant Film - a must have!

    For those of you who love Isherwood, or his Berlin Diaries, or the 1972 film Cabaret (with Joel Grey, Liza Minelli and Michael York) or were spellbound by Colin Firth's Oscar nominated performance in the "A Single Man" (directed by Gus Van Saint) you are in for a treat. . . . This is Christopher Isherwood at his most candid and painfully honest. No objective "I am a Camera" viewpoints here - it is personal. Written towards the end of his life, Isherwood divulges his journey as a young man breaking free from his repressive English upbringing to the decadent and colorful zeitgeist of Berlin during the short lived Weimar Republic. The journey is as a personal trek of self discovery set against a backdrop of Germany in search of it's own identity following WWI. By this time, the Versailles ...

    Realistic portrayal of this part of our history.

    The plot is as relevant today as it was when first produced but their reproduction of the film quality is excellent just like a new release.
