I'm surprised I missed this when it 1st came out. I recently saw a "making of" video on YouTube & was curious about the full CD. I'm enjoying all but one song... "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite". Everything else is great ! I've always loved "re-imaginings" of Beatles songs & Sr. George does an amazing job on this CD !

Nice Tribute from the Man Who Made the Beatles
I was searching (in vain) for Beatles tracks on iTunes and came across some snippets from this album, so I decided to get the CD. I wasn't disappointed. The immortal George Martin, the man whose background producing radio shows for British comedians in the 1950's immediately endeared him to the young John Lennon, went on to produce most of the Beatles' greatest hits throughout the 60's. Here, he revisits some of the old hits in ways both sublime and surprising, with a cast of artists that includes comedians like Jim Carrey and Billy Connolly, big name artists like Phil Collins and Jeff Beck, and a few surprises like Sean Connery's tear-jerking, spoken-word rendition of In My Life which closes out the disk. It's nearly impossible to find fault with the artistic or musical qualities of this ... This has always been one of my favorites. I have purchased this CD and given it away to Beatles fans so many times. They simply are unaware of this project. Once they go on Facebook and see the documentary, they're hooked. Today, I'll contact a friend to make sure he brings back the CD I bought from you. I tend to lose many "borrowed" CDs. It's also nice that, should I ever have "borrowed" turn into "kept" again, I'll know where to come for a nice version at a good price. Thanks so much!This has always been one of my favorites. George Martin - genius
George Martin who produced and effected the music of John Lennon and Paul McCarty. He is without a doubt a genius in music and musical production. The genius of this album is how he chose the songs and specific artist to sing them. The artist were not all vocalist, but he was able to uncover some special vocal talent, we or they were not aware of. I surmize he did the same with the Beatles. Thank you George.
