Surprisingly great idea
I purchased this item because I was tired of various issues I'd had with Hauppage and ATI tuner cards I'd used in the past. This little box made form factor and OS nearly meaningless in operation. Setup, a firmware update and software installation was 10 minutes of time then it all magically worked with so little effort, I thought I had missed something. Another few minutes later I had it up and working on a plain-jane, no-name hand held android device. It has been the most stable and flexible TV tuner device I've used in years. Watching TV channels on IMAC computer
Purchased to replace HDTV that won't turn on. Required additional software purchase of EyeTV Connected to iMac and to rooftop antenna. Watching over the air channels here in Los Angeles Works very well. A Wi Fi connection is required while the streamer is on. Will continue to use it until the TV monitor made by Apple is available; if ever. This device can also be connected to a cable provider but I don't subscribe to any. I recommend it. It was easy to install and the device plus the additional software was less than $180.00. I think some packages come with the EYETV software included; mine did not hence, I had to purchase it separately.Purchased to replace HDTV that won't turn on. I recommend this a lot
I got this to enhance my cord cutting experience, and cut back on what I have to pay the cable company. Took me all of 10 minutes to install and get it running with my Plex Media app. (it comes with a built in DVR with a Plex Pass) Works great. Plugs right into my network. The only hard part is getting the antenna in the sweet spot to catch all the broadcast channels in my area. I plan on adding another one, probably the Quad.I got this to enhance my cord cutting experience, and cut back on what I have to pay the cable company. Took me all of 10 minutes to install and get it running with my Plex Media app. (it comes with a built in DVR with a Plex Pass) Works great. Plugs right into my network. This product is easy peasy to set up and use. hooked the hardward up and downloaded the software and followed the simple instructions on the disc and presto, i had antenna TV that i could pause and record. The Menu is awesome which makes you feel like you have expensive cable :). do yourself a favor and buy a really nice antenna to get as many channels as possible in your area it will be worth the one time price you have to pay. I get up to 80 channel that i can review with the new menu style!This product is easy peasy to set up and use. hooked the hardward up and downloaded the software and followed the simple instructions on the disc and presto, i had antenna TV that i could pause and record.
