Cool set but requires phone/app to use.
The set has a ton of detail and is pretty fun to put together and play with. My partner loves it. Main drawback is that the train won't work without a phone/app. We had planned to use it in a (lego) Christmas village display, but there's no way to make it move without a phone. It's possible to exchange the Bluetooth-controlled motor with a standard motor, but all I want is two buttons: forward and reverse. Battery life is fairly short as well, so don't expect it to last more than an hour or so.The set has a ton of detail and is pretty fun to put together and play with. My partner loves it.
