The reel came as promised and it was in new condition with all of its components inside the box. The actual reel box was put inside another shipping box to keep the integrity of the reel box as I requested. All in all I am very pleased with everything and shipping was quick. The reason I gave a 4 for shipping cost, is because I ship a lot of items and the reel could have been shipped for a lot less. However I wanted the reel so I paid the shipping cost. Buy in confidence from this seller.

    Awesome reel in 180 ft of water

    Firstly the reel was delivered in three days of my purchase in great condition. I was excited and decided to test it out in an offshore trip targeting Black Sea bass. Thought I’d be in about 100 foot of water or so. Getting there took 4 hours, way out there. The guy next to me was fishing with an electric reel and the depth was 180ft. I pulled up double headers of sea bass and huge porgies and bluefish all day long. This reel was amazing. Retrieve was smooth and fast. Can’t wait to see this thing destroy fish in the bays of Long Island in shallow water. Be buying the 6500 soon as it has a larger line to reel retrieve. Quality reel for your money

    Penn Spinfisher SSV4500 Spinning Reel

    Received this reel and loaded up with 30# Daiwa J-Braid late last week. Have only had an opportunity to utilize on one occasion to date; targeting Black Sea Bass and Triggerfish. Reel was paired with a custom made 7' length/15 -30# line spinning rod ... both the reel and rod performed exceptionally well in water depths ranging between ~ 55' to 85'. Looking forward to many years of exceptional performance from both Reel and Rod.
