A good show starts somewhere
While not as many special features as the later sets, it still is filled with more goodies than most shows on DVD. Every episode has Bill Panzer give a brief interview talking about either the episode, actor(s), or other aspects of producing the show. The last disc is mislabeled. It says behind the scenes, but was "The Making Of Highlander," a 30 minute show that aired around the time Highlander was a bout to premiere. Let's not the bloopers that are worth seeing. The artwork is a little lacking. Discs 1-3 have the same picture and the same for 4-6 & 7-9.While not as many special features as the later sets, it still is filled with more goodies than most shows on DVD. Fans of the series - You can't miss these discs!
For the series fan, these are a must see. extra minutes not seen on american tv, a producers commentary on each episode, not to mention the extras like short write-ups on each immortal encountered, birth, first death, teacher, etc. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!! For those who not have seen the series, on the discs they call it an adventure, romantic, action series, and that's a pretty good description. Imagine if your neighbor, office mate, or that stranger on the street was an immortal born 100, 200 or a thousand years ago! The possibilities and the histories are all explored here, and a lot of fun is had along the way. Highlander: The Series Season 1
I used to love watching this series late night in the mid 1990's and once i crossed it on e-bay i just had to get it. I accidently won the second season and viewed it then i had to purchase the first season to fill the voids in my memory. I have no dislikes of this product and would recommend this to some of the younger generation that are to young to remember the series when it was on TV. Highlander is Awesome
Well I have never wrote one of these before so here it goes... Highlander is awesome! I was offerd a very fair price for everything that I recieved. I am currently in Iraq and so I like to watch shows in my free time. The complete Highlander series was perfect for that. I recieved them very fast, even though I am in Iraq. It is great to have something to do in my free time! I have baught a number of DVD shows and I dont think I will be able to even finish the series before I get back home.
