The gauge of the shelf was slightly thinner than my other shelves. With 8 screws (provided) to hold in the shelf it is plenty strong. I put 4 computers @22 pounds (10kg) on the shelf, no issues (Total 88 pounds, or 40kg). I was concerned that the fixed tabs may not fit to my relay-rack, no problem there, it fit like a glove. The shelf is a couple inches bigger than my other shelves, no issue there, just beware.
