I like Perma-Coil products
I find the Perma-Coil products to be a great cost effective alternative to some of the other name brands. Nothing against those brands - they are great but I'm not doing production. Just an occasional repair. Perma-Coil gets my vote.

Works exactly how it should. Permanent fix to a stripped bolt hole.
It was surprisingly hard to find a thread repair for such a small size (8-32). This came with a good quality tap and plenty of inserts. No tool to break the little tab off, though, I just used a small Allen wrench.

Perma coil thread repair tool
The thread insertion tool has a tendency to stretch to coil during insertion so be sure your tapped threads are full diameter and very clean.
