    Good repair book, but a bit dated.

    I bought this book wanting to learn more about guitar repair. The book covers everything from Classical to flat top to electric guitars. The title is very accurate this seems very "complete". The book starts out a bit fast paced and jumps around some, but it covers a lot of material in a short span. The book has 160 pages. Chapters include: Guitar construction, General repair information, Guitar adjustments, Electric guitar, Action and Scale, The peghead, Neck and fingerboard, The bridge, Repairing cracks and missing sections, Touch-up and refinishing, Electric guitar pickups and controls, and Troubleshooting. The only real problem is the book is very dated (1975). I'm sure there are new techniques being used today. Overall this is a good book on repair. Even if it is a bit dated is still ...

    Guitar Repair Book Review

    This book is great if you are just getting into guitar repair as well as those who are already doing guitar repair. Normally I would have just thrown away a guitar that has been badly damaged as the ones shown in this book, but after seeing how these guitars can be restored, I now will repair them or have them repaired. I also particularly like the section on refinishing as any type of refinishing, partial or complete can be difficult especially if you are not skilled in that area. I even apply those techniques on refinishing to cabinetry.
