This seller made everything right and the SRAM works. First, the seller only sent two of twelve. I contacted them. Sent a photo of their invoice; only 2 were sent. Got no response. Opened a case. Great WiFi thermostat for 2-wire furnace
I have an older forced air furnace for the house and a convection gas furnace for an in-law unit (millivolt type). The LUX-GEO was installed in minutes and connecting the app was easy. Since these were previously owned, I had to call customer support to get them unregistered from the previous owner account, everything else was a breeze. Great but not the best battery life if using Wi-Fi
I am a bit biased on this product because i bought it with the intention of using it WITHOUT the C-Wire, i wanted to use the battery because i have an older HVAC setup with separate controls for each, both without a C-Wire. i looked and looked and found that the Geo Lux was a very highly rated thermostat compatible to use exclusively with batteries (Lithium 2-AA) and still be a Network controlled thermostat via the Lux App. The setup was a little wonky because i bough them used, i had to contact lux support and have them remove them from the previous owners account, did not take very long within 5-10 mins i could complete the setup. if you've ever setup a Ring camera or any ip-camera before it's a simple setup, the thermostat gives its own wifi, you connect to the wifi, you setup the ... I am a bit biased on this product because i bought it with the intention of using it WITHOUT the C-Wire, i wanted to use the battery because i have an older HVAC setup with separate controls for each, both without a C-Wire. i looked and looked and found that the Geo Lux was a very highly rated thermostat compatible to use exclusively with batteries (Lithium 2-AA) and still be a Network controlled thermostat via the Lux App. The setup was a little wonky because i bough them used, i had to contact lux support and have them remove them from the previous owners account, did not take very long within 5-10 mins i could complete the setup. if you've ever setup a Ring camera or any ip-camera before it's a simple setup, the thermostat gives its own wifi, you connect to the wifi, you setup the thermostat on your own wifi, then it syncs to the app. very simple setup instructions outlined that if it doesn't work the first time, perform a reset, i had to do that 1x time for 1 of the thermostats, took literally 30 seconds. as far as the functionality, it's all there, nice big display, turn knob works flawlessly however the network capability are a huge drain on the battery, 2-AA lithium batteries are lasting 5 days on the most "economical" setting the thermostat allows. mind you i setup a schedule so i would avoid any excess changes. this works great but like i stated batteries only lasting 5 days really kills it. i mitigated this by setting the schedule and then turning OFF the wifi radio, this has been for the better part of July and i haven't received a battery notification. Overall, i believe this thermostat would function 100% as expected had i a C-Wire, with that being said, that makes it no different than some of the newer thermostats on the market, ecobee, nest, etc which all indicate they require the C-Wire anyways. all in all, i probably will have an HVAC tech come out and evaluate my system and inquire about getting the new wire ran to accommodate the Lux Geo.

Only battery powered wifi thermostat out there! I have a house that has radiant heat with an early form of zone heating. There's a thermostat in each room that connects to a control panel that then controls the valves to release hot water for each room when the thermostat calls for it. Subsequently, they only ran two-wire cable to each thermostat. And if you've been looking at wifi thermostats, you'll know that nearly all of them require a c-wire to power that connect. Not the Lux GEO! This is the only thermostat that I've found that connect to wifi on just battery power. Hookup is straight-forward (at least it was for me with only two wires) and the interface for connecting is intuitive and well thought out (unlike most apps). Good Valued Basic Smart Thermostat
Great basic WiFI thermostat. I am seeing some issues with it disconnecting form WiFI (altho it usually reconnects) and with the Away mode. It would also be nice if it was integrated with Alexa or Homekit but for the price it's a good bargain device
