  • Morbid Angel- Formulas Fatal To The Flesh

This review is not based on a couple of listens, but a decade of familiarity. To start with I found it at a second hand shop, which begs the question there was reason for it to be there. In my view this is not the case, as I believe it is one of Morbid Angels finest moments. Because I was so fond of this disc, it became trashed accumulating a scratch during Invocation of the Continual One as a result of a discman incident (before Ipods.) So my desire to hear this song again in it's entirety has sustained me to this day. To me this album represents everything I was searching for in music, that is it spoke to me in a very personal manner. In that it is Death Metal incorporating other ways of playing that are just as skillful and fit in, in that sit back and chill moment of contemplation good ...

  • Another furious masterpiece!

This album, perhaps is not at the same level of "Blessed are the sick", "Covenant", "Domination" or "Altars of Madness", but nevertheless it is another masterpiece! The band, and primarily main man Trey Azagthoth, take full advantage of their years of experience and merge all the best trademarks of the band's past efforts. The album is primarily blazing fast with all the mandatory technical riffs solidly in place; but there are moments where things slow down to a tortured crawl as the band easily manhandles their heaviest riffs ever ("Nothing is Not" is a prime example). Steve's vocals have a fresh and vital edge to them and lack no power or sickness. There are several times the vocals are double tracked, something new for the band, and that choice adds a depth and presence to the vocal ...

  • Great piece of history

Appears it was originally a two fold paper sleeve, but had been cut to be protected with CD cover. Sounds great and would definitely do business again with them. A +++++

  • Amazing.

One of my favorite Morbid Angel albums! Strongly recommend if you are a fan of death metal. Trey Azagthoth is remarkable, Pete Sandoval has always done amazing in Morbid Angel, Steve Tucker singing on this album is also a great bonus.
