The seller is fine, this is a product issue 99-04 Jeep front steering knuckles are unusable due to poor machining of the taper ball joint interface. Tapers are machined too deep, so the knuckle smashes the boot and pins itself against the joint. I had to put the original parts back on, these will end up as scrap.
