I did contact the seller already. He described a supposed Airplane model kit as “Incomplete,” a far cry from an accurate description. The model kit was not in the box at all - just a few balsa sticks and the instructions and decals. It wasn’t worth shipping costs, let alone the asking price. He offered a partial refund on the purchase price but nothing for the shipping cost which was more than the purchase. This thing has no value.

    Adequate stand-in

    The overall quality of the model's surface detail is a little below average. However, a seasoned model maker can spiff it up. I'm actually using it to replace the shuttle that comes with the Lindberg full stack kit. Although more detailed, it requires more seam work than the Revell version. At 1/200 scale, even well-hidden seams can be distracting, although mostly for the model builder.

    Revell, why couldn't you put just a little effort into this one.

    Revell skimped on a few things that would have made this much better. The engine housings, and bottom of the shuttle are all white. Revel gives a stand in black, so they could have easily cast the bottom and engines in black or provided a decal. Also no decal for the leading edge of the wings, but the tail fin has one. Last the rear decal across the back edge of the wings is too long.

    Accurate and simple

    Great for those of us older folks with difficulty in fingers, and snap tight is easier than glue. Also good for young children to learn modeling.
