German heavy metal band The Scorpions may have faded from American popular consciousness after their 1990 hit "Winds of Change," but they continued to rock on the stereos of a dedicated international fan base long after that. MOMENT OF GLORY LIVE was filmed in Germany in the summer of 2000. Performing in front of an audience of impassioned fans and ably backed by the Berlin Philharmonic, the Scorpions give an enthusiastic performance that is clearly influenced by the love and comfort they feel in their homeland. All of their classic hits are covered.

    Very poor recording

    1st off, no reflection on my vendor. Item was new and shipped promptly. As for the CD/DVD....ouch! Such great promise and, major disappointment, from one of the best rock groups of all time. It sounds like like whole thing was recorded thru the artists monitors. Way, way too much guitar and vocals, and way too little of the drums and bass. And even worse, when playing with one of the best orchestras ever and you can hardly hear them. Coupled with a really poor play list, this DVD will stay in the back of the shelves with my other mistakes.

    Performance and Professionalism

    I like rock groups matching symphonic or philarmonic orchestras for a one time only show. Metallica is an good example with the ensemble of San Franciso, but this one with Scorpions is way better in musical arrangements. If you want something out of bounds, with a CD as an extra, this is a must! Just be sure that you buy the box set, not a copy or the DVD only... for a few bucks difference!

    Scorpions: Moment of Glory

    Great Performance!! The sound is very good, the quality of the film is great and the orchestral arrangements are wonderful. My only sadness was that there were no subtitles that I could turn on and all the speaking between songs is in German. Yay Scorpions!

    Rock n'roll tribute!

    I bought this DVD and watched it very touched by emotions that only a band like Scorpions could arise! Astonishing sound video and orchestra!! Recommend this for all true fans of rock music (and not only!) A must for music video fans! Greetings from Crete Antonis

    Scorpions - Moment of Glory Live With The Berlin Philha

    Il s'agit de ma première critique. Donc, je serai bref et précis. C'est un ensemble CD et DVD de belle facture. Le son est magnifique et les arrangements me plaisent énormément. J'ai fait un bon achat. J'ai plusieurs CD, celui-ci sera '' en haut de la pile'', c'est certain. Scorpions fait un beau cadeau a ses fans. Les classiques de ce groupe jouer par eux et l'Orchestre Symphonique ont une touche de ciel... C'est grandiose. Bravo ! Je recommande !
