Good book for those with medical background
This is book is the required text for my psychopharmacology class. I am studying to be a mental health counselor and am not a great lover of science, nor do I have any background studies in the area of the human body and its functioning. This book is a bit technical for my liking, but does offer enough information in layman's terms to allow the average person to understand the important points. I would be cautious about reading this book in isolation, unless you have prior experience in this area or have someone to decipher the medical jargon.This is book is the required text for my psychopharmacology class. I bought this book for the in-depth review and understanding of psychotropic drugs. I had taken Dr. Julien's pharmacology class and wanted to have the notes I had taken, only more detailed. This book does not disappoint. However, it seems to be written for health professionals. Others may not relate to parts of it. I do recommend it, though, for anyone involved in prescribing or administering psychotropic meds.I bought this book for the in-depth review and understanding of psychotropic drugs.
