Perfectly, carefully, protectively packaged and quickly sent on its way. For a book this age, it is in excellent condition. To my knowledge there has never been a hardcover edition of this publication, so the description didn't cause me any concern. I tell anyone learning to crochet to try to obtain a copy of this very book. In my opinion it is still the most comprehensive, best illustrated, and easiest to understand reference aid for learning this new skill.
