Besides bringing you flashbacks of some good old times, this phone is the a pure incorporation of the term "KISS" (Keep It Simple and Stupid) - it is the fastest and the simplest way of making calls and exchanging text messages. A perfect phone for elderly people and those who require just basic functionalities, without all the fuss with antiviruses, maintenance & cleaning software and security vulnerabilities... The rugged casing is strong enough to open a beer bottle with, and yet can be easily replaced if somehow you manage to break it. The only thing that you will most certainly have to replace is the battery which comes in two flavors: the older BMC-3 (Ni-MH) and the newer, lighter one and with 10% more capacity BLC-2 (Li-Ion). Still, with either of the two batteries your phone will ... The only serious complaint is the lack of keyboard auto-lock feature, so if you forget to lock it using Menu-* when you're done, your pocket is likely to make a call every once in a while...

It is not an attractive looking phone
It was rather clumsily packed. The box was a different colour to the phone inside. The price was above that applicable to a phone of this type. The dealer was fine to deal with when I had a problem with misplacing the phone for a couple of weeks and wanted a description of the colour, it looked black to me but was in fact a very dark blue. I agree with one of the previous reviewers who said that it suits a person who does not want sophistication also for big handed person who finds smartphone difficult to use, which is why I bought this phone in the first place. Fantastic, basic, easy to use, good value mobile phone!
I bought this product for my elderly mother after the one she had finally gave up. She just wanted the same phone again, not able to get to grips with how to work a different one. It's a nice compact phone, easy to use and lasts forever (almost), as the original was one of my cast offs! I was really pleased with the purchase as it was cheap and exceptional condition for the price. I owned a basic Nokia-3310 mobile phone from the year 2000 until 2007, and loved this phone . From 2007 i have owned many different phones including some up market and very expensive I-phones of which i still have and will soon be selling them on e-bay. I have found that you really do not need all the gimmicks of the modern I-phones, after all 95% of the usage of a mobile phone is to phone up friends or family, when your out and about, and the Nokia 3310 does this very well.
