    No problems setting up great printer

    Works great like brand new. Had no problems setting it up. I owned one like it before and I wanted another one because I purchase a lot of ink and had no printer to us it so I decided to purchase this same model printer and glad I did.

    Ended up with a large paper weight.

    I just received a MFC 495cw printer from Alvin lee. Though the advertising said, it includes manual and some ink. There was nothing. The ink tray was empty of cartridges. Nothing installed. No set-up disk, no SUB Cable and the unit number on the box was for a different unit. Not the Original box as stated on the advertising. I will have to purchase ink and a USB cable and look for an installation download from Brothers before I will be able to see if it works.

    Simply a Great Multifunction Machine!

    I purchased this primarily for the built-in FAX capability, but there are issues with our VOIP phone system that sometimes makes it difficult to operate correctly in the receive mode (even in the "Basic" setting that is designed for VOIP). It transmits a document nicely, however. This is a VOIP issue, not related to this, or any, FAX machine. The document feeder works great! Other than than that, the machine works wonderfully, including the WiFi connection to our house LAN. I haven't used it to print photos yet, so I can't comment on that feature. I'd certainly purchase one again and I recommend it to others. Brother's tech support was Outstanding for a printhead problem I had!

    Bamm! It works!

    I was very happy to see the replacement part work so well, as soon as I plugged it in. It is an easy interface to use and menu can be navigated easy as well.

    Great inexpensive printer

    My "likes" are: 1-low cost 2-small size 3-four inexpensive ink cartridges 4-easy to set up 5-Wireless was very easy to set up and use Only one dislike: printing is very slow -- nothing like what is the specs say
