Lot of bang for the buck
Nice low profile amp, great for powering near field monitors. Not a power house but very clean. Bass seems tight, mids and high's cut through. It's convection cooled so no fan noise to deal with. I've compared it directly with my Crown D75A and while it doesn't have the full detail of the Crown, it certainly is no slouch. It appears to be a good value for the money. Excellent sound for the price, some headroom into 4 ohms, 60W is quite loud
This is a pretty good amp for the money. It's rated at 60W at 0.05% distortion, and I bench measured 80W before visible clipping into 4 ohms(about 1% distortion). We use it at our Church to amplify a small group through stage monitors. It has a clear and sweet sound, better on acoustic guitar than the 225W/ch Mackie we used before. The amp is actually a IC driver board, and a huge power IC on a heatsink. There are no discrete output devices. The only thing I don't like is that the signal goes through several small electrolytic capacitors; I would have preferred mylar film ones. It is not feasable to replace the caps without total disassembly of the amp, so we used it as purchased. Although this amp has 6dB less power (but the same gain)than the Mackie, the music, including amplified ... This is a pretty good amp for the money.
