Dark Sun: Shattered Lands is a role-playing game that includes elements of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dark Sun universe. Create a party from a variety of races and classes to use in your journey through the desert world of Athas. Races include: Dwarves, Elves, Half-Elves, Half-Giants, Halflings, Humans, Muls, and Thri-Kreen. Classes include: fighters, gladiators, rangers, preservers, clerics, druids, thieves, and psionicists.<br><br>Your party begins in the slave pens of Draj. As the game begins you are forced to battle monsters in the arena for the amusement of others. On this day it is your goal to escape from slavery and dissappear into the wilderness. From there you will need to help others while trying to recruit new friends in an attempt to overthrow the evil sorcerer-king, Tectuktitlay.

Great game
Mines played out, rendering metal extremely rare and valuable. Scarcer still were any sources of water. The creatures of Athas were twisted by the free use of magic. They constantly adapted to the harsh conditions. New monsters emerged from the deep desert to plague the remnants of man. Now the only stable concentrations of humanity are in tightly controlled city-states. Without exception, these are ruled by vicious sorcerer-kings - the last remnants of the wizards who depleted Athas. These kings call themselves gods and rule through a religious organization known as the templars. Their rule is uniformly harsh and capricious, and a large proportion of the populace is enslaved. Only the strongest can feel any measure of safety because the templars can condemn anyone without a trial. The few ... Mines played out, rendering metal extremely rare and valuable. Though free, life in the wastelands is precarious. Water supplies can fail, marauding monsters can devastate a village, and slavers are a constant threat. Until these tiny villages can look beyond day-to-day survival and ally with one another, they are unlikely to survive more than a few years. Shattered Lands takes place in and around the city-state of Draj, ruled by the sorcerer-king Tectuktitlay. The game is dated, however, but die-hard PC gamers will have a lot of fun reliving the "good old days" of gaming with any of the Dark Sun games. A must have for the collector or avid PC gamer (old school).

Excellent product, the game arrived timely, installed easily, but had some running issues. I emailed the provider notifying him of the problem, and he immediately replied back with a fix (a small file) to correct the problem. The file loaded easily and corrected the problem. The game runs perfectly, and the provider also gave me a bonus game, "Wake of the Ravager, or Dark Sun II", and it runs fine. I love these old DOS games, and I'll be doing more business with Chris in the future.Excellent product, the game arrived timely, installed easily, but had some running issues. Great RPG Game, much better than Baldurs Gate and all infinity games in all ways. This is must have title for all RPG gamers. Older game, but as i said, much better than new RPG games.
