RE: JVC Kenwood CW-DRA8 I like this powered subwoofer so much that I bought another one for my other car. For the first car the limited space under the seat was the main factor which caused me to purchase this particular powered sub. Being just an 8 inch sub, I wasn't expecting a lot of bass out of it. I was highly surprised and very pleased with the results though. If I choose to adjust it up, it pounds while still having great sound quality. In the second car (1966 Volkswagen Beetle) it didn't sound as great at first. The reason for that was because I had pulled out all carpet and door panels before installation. I had done that for a major cleaning before giving the car a new paint job. With the carpet back in, it sounds great. I didn't think that would matter having the carpet out and ... Not long after installing the sub cone started rattling and it ruins the sound quality so i had to take it back out. Very disappointed!

Great addition
Adds a nice layer to my system. I wanted something that wouldn’t over power my mids and highs, and this is it. The reviewer that said his rattled was probably because he placed it incorrectly. Any subwoofer will make your car rattle if it’s not placed correctly.
