    If I could only have one pedal, this would be it...

    Particularly useful for enhanced lead sounds for those who aspire to smooth sustained notes (Santana, Gary Moore, etc.) as well as increasing sensitivity for fast lead work. I never was able to try the original TS808 but this one is very good. I find it is very well suited to use with Gibson or Gibson style guitars and Marshall amps. Hey, if the re-issue is good enough for Joe Bonamassa...

    Guitarist pleasing pedal excellence

    The TS-808 Tube Screamer is excellent. The reviews on this pedal helped Me make the TS-808 mine. I also did extensive research. With a desire for good sustain, smooth distortion and chord tone with some retained clarity, I chose the TS-808 over the T-9. The TS-808 is worth the higher price, twice over. The adjustment range of this pedal is a joyful experience! This pedal is also amazing paired with an acoustic electric guitar. Blues and Jazz Guitarists should have the Ibanez TS-808.

    Awesome sound, just right.

    If you play electric guitar, this pedal should be the first thing on your want list. Don't get a better amp, this 808 will make whatever you are using sound better, assuming it is a tube amp. Buy it first, ask questions later. Highly recommend!

    TS808 Vintage Reissue Ibanez TUBE SCREAMER

    TS808 is definitely for tube amps. I own 5w,15w,30w and 50w amps. In EL84 and 6V6 variations. This TS808 kicks butt by adding a warm 'overdrive' distortion like sound. The trick is that the amp can be turned down for practice or up to live performance. The volume on the TS808 works to get your amp dialed in even when the 'overdrive' knob is set low. Low or high volume, the same rich sound flows out. Love it with low powered amps. This is one of the essential effects. Others I use are analog delay, wah wah pedal, univibe, reverb, and tremolo boxes. The tones of SRV, Jimi, Joe Walsh, Robin Trower and many others come inside this little box. Playing live? This can get you above the mix. 5 stars.

    The Overdrive Pedal

    The Ibanez Tube Screamer TS808 has been one of if not the best tube screamer of all time. It's a must have for anyone looking for that good old fashioned blues or rock sound. This is by far my favorite pedal on my board. I highly recommend having one or at least the mini version. I've had both and they sound amazing. Happy Tunes!
