Developed exclusively for PlayStation 2, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm features online support complete with the same voice capability, ladder rankings, and personal stat tracking as found in the Xbox version of Ghost Recon. The setting is the thick and stifling jungles of Cuba in the year 2009. Castro is no longer in power, and the future of Cuba's leadership is very much in doubt. Players are charged with the task of quelling an up-and-coming warlord backed by a Colombian drug cartel. It will not be easy, however, as his almost limitless funds has resulted in an impressive army of mercenaries. Leading the four-man team of U.S. Green Berets known as Ghosts, players not only must ensure Cuba remains free from its dictatorial past, but also cut-off the monetary funds being funneled from Colombia. Players will advance through two separate campaigns in both Cuba and Columbia, each spanning eight missions apiece, with new cinematic cut-scenes designed to heighten the mood in between assignments. Once the solo campaigns are complete, players can take the squad-based action online with a choice of ten game modes, 31 multiplayer maps, and support for the PS2 USB Headset.

Ghost Recon Jungle Storm... My battlefield experience!
I decided to try Ghost Recon Jungle Storm because I was looking for a game with a great amount of realism. The graphics are pretty good, however, more detail regarding facial features and wounds, blood etc, would add to the reality aspect so that you could feel a little more deeply about seeing your own men lying dead, or making it a little more personal when you shoot somebody and then have to look at their face close up when you get to their position.If you are looking for realism, then you are going to have to step it up. I didn't buy the game just for electronic target practice, I bought it hoping that it would give me a sense of really being in a battle, and provoking the thoughts that a real soldier might have. On a more positive note, I would like to say that I really enjoy the ... I decided to try Ghost Recon Jungle Storm because I was looking for a game with a great amount of realism. Once I learned how to operate on the "Elite" level, I find the missions very difficult and challenging. That is the way it should be as I have to try different tactics and weapons to complete the mission. The musical themes are good, but I thought that the previous Ghost Recon was a touch better. Now for a couple of things that I'm not happy about: Sometimes I can shoot an enemy soldier many times (empty a magazine) and he does not die, and ends up killing me..Not good! I get vocal and letter prompts telling me that the other team is recieving fire but I do not hear any shots even though I am in close proximity, and when I switch to a member of that team, they are not engaged in a firefight, so enough with the false info please. It would be nice to be able to choose a more panoramic view to help see the enemy around you. Sometimes having "tunnel vision" is not real enough except when using night vision. All in all, I will continue to buy the Ghost Recon series and I have no doubt that it will only get better.

This installment in the Ghost Recon series packs a wallop, introducing new online game-play and voice commands. The game has two campaigns, or stories: Island Thunder and Jungle Storm. The stories aren't that terrific, and single-player mode can get pretty dull. The online multiplayer mode is great, though to have voice during a match, you have to enter a code at the start screen. Ubisoft should have just included an option. As for graphics, they aren't pretty, and they are very dated. AI in this game is actually pretty good, but not the best. They put up a fight though. The music is very intriguing to play with, and captures the sense of the battfield. Awesome Game To Play Against A Friend/Family Member!
I am a big gamer and this game highly impressed me when I played it against my brother in law. I think it will be in the classics for a long time. You do have to have somebody who will be willing to play it with you. Great to play with multiple people. I played my brother-in-law for hours on this game! My father-in-law also joined in a few times. Once you get the controls down, you are good to go! Have fun shooting and blowing each other up!
