Great read, one more piece of the puzzle.

Great writer of light mystery and spins awesome tale about a newspaper man who has two Siamese cats. Have read all her books in order and am nearing the end of the trail.

  • "Go Bananas!" for this Book!

"The Cat Who Went Bananas" is another excellent mystery by Lilian Jackson Braun! I really like the entire "Cat Who" series-they are books I really like to read (of course my favorites are the entire Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling and Holes by Louis Sachar), but I thoroughly enjoy the cat mysteries. This book has several new events in Pickax, as "The Importance of Being Earnest" is opening in town at the theatre, featuring several actors from Lockmaster, including the Moose County newcomer Alden Wade, who seems to be very popular. Other important events include the Eddington Fund at the new bookstore, and Polly no longer working at the library so that she can work at the bookstore. Additionally, as Jim Qwilleran decides to take on writing a book on a historic house. Mysterious ...

  • Good clean intelligent fun

Like Agatha Christie, no useless gore, swearing or sex. Just intelligent, clever writing. What a relief! I wish there were more like Braun. She was amusing without an agenda-- other than a love for cats. R.I.P., Lilian, thank you!

  • Man with Cats... they solve mysteries

Laid back, still have to work at figuring out who done it. A man with cats. Yeah. It works. I have the whole set of her books. That way I understand what's going on. It's like a soap opera.

  • Good Read!

This "Cat Book" is a great read. It is enjoyable. We loved reading this lighthearted murder mystery about Quilleran and his two syamese cats.
