The television comedy M*A*S*H debuted in 1972. In the process of becoming one of the most successful and beloved programs in TV history, it completely reinvented situation comedies. Based on Robert Altman's hit film, the sitcom ran for an astonishing 11 years. This three-disc set features the first 24 episodes of the historic program and is the complete collection of the legendary first season. Episodes include "Chief Surgeon Who?" "The Ringbanger" with Leslie Nielsen, and, perhaps the most groundbreaking episode, "The Moose." The line between comedy and drama has never been so delicately tread upon as in the series of the 4077th military medical hospital.

    M*A*S*H season one is without a doubt one of the greatest seasons of all time. With loveable characters like Captain Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce, Captain John "Trapper" Macintyre, Lt. Col. Henry Blake, Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, Major Frank Burns, and Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly. M*A*S*H season one is a great combination of comedy and the tragedies of war. From "THE PILOT" episode to "SOMETIMES YOU HEAR THE BULLET" M*A*S*H season one is a winner!

    Best show on TV...ever!

    I never get tired of watching the early episodes of MASH! The best ones are up until Larry Linville left the show in the 4th season. It's great to be able to watch several episodes at a time without commercial interruption. The writing and jokes are original and always funny. The actors' deliveries of the material is excellent. MASH--the early years--is one of the best TV shows of all time, in my opinion.

    Loved it. But then who wouldn't love having it on DVD at home. With an all star cast and some fo the best writing in to ever have been on TV, you can't help but love each and ever moment. From the light and funny to the sensitve, to the out right heart breaking, it's all there. Who could ask for more? Having the entire series, you get to see all those wonderful episodes that you missed when it was in prime time.
