Brenda is very attached to her bear Pete and very upset when she leaves him on the bus and loses him. Then after a couple of days, something very strange happens - she starts to receive postcards from Pete, from all over the world! From London, Paris, Venice, Moscow, Nairobi, Cairo, Tangier, Beijing, the Amazon jungle, the Grand Canyon - Pete visits them all, sending cards, on each of which he says how much he is missing Brenda. Then one day there is no card, but a small brown parcel - and inside is Pete! Dyan Sheldon's other titles include The Whales' Song (Winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal), I Forgot Skywatching , A Night to Remember , Ride on, Sister Vincent , Tall, Thin and Blonde , Harry and Chicken , Harry the Explorer and Harry's Holiday .
