ED 209 gets a butt whipping from RooboCop
Good Trilogy with added extras on the DVDs. I enjoyed all three RoboCop Movies including RoboCop 3 that is often maligned and ridiculed by critics. Mine was the Director's Cut with the Unrated version of RoboCop 1. I love the extreme violence. I did CRINGE when RoboCop uses the word CREEP instead of FELON against a criminal foe. Still, all in all, I love the "theme" or Message throughout the series that Capitalistic Corporations are often greedy and corupt, and we need "heroes" like Robo to take them on. A engaging trilogy...
This is one of the few movies with sequels I found engaging from the first film to the last. I truly enjoyed every one of the three original Robocop films. Each seemed to have it's own unique storyline set apart from the other two. Murphy still retained his soul even though there was little of his physical self left in the cyborg body. The villans in each of the movies were also relatively well thought out as well as having some depth. If only Robocop were real we might seriously consider running him for President. At least his character in the movies seemed to genuinely care for the people he represented. They weren't there for Robo to use then cast aside. The humanity of the Robocop cyborg was one of the most endearing aspects of all the films. In some ways, Robocop reminded me ... A Great collection of dvds that I watch over and over
I like how robocop takes on the criminals for the good of the city no matter the cost to himself. But asks for a helping hand when he in in bad shape. He is always loyal to the badge even if he is out numbered. And he never forgets his family no matter how hard OCD tries to delete them from his memory.He never gives up even when he is battered and beaten up.He fights for the poor under privilaged people,Not the rich power hungry land grabbers even if he has to defy orders. He will always fight for what is RIGHT.I watch these DVD's over and over. Robo's kind of justice will never go out of style.I bought this collection because the Rental stores do not have it any more ,it is to old for them to stock.It is an old collection but in its time it was top notch and still is in my book.I like how robocop takes on the criminals for the good of the city no matter the cost to himself. Robocop Trilogy
The case itself is cool. I love how it opens. The first two movies are my favorites, and everyone was telling me that the third one sucked. Guess what, they were correct. Being a huge Robocop fan, I forced myself to sit through the third film and give it a chance. After watching it, I wanted to kill myself. Robocop 3 is, without a doubt, the worst film ever in the history of time. If I had a time machine, I would go back and stop them from making this insult to the Robocop name. What a slap in the face to the original. That being said, I love Robocop and this is the box set for any Sci-Fi or horror comedy fan. A must have. I like the commentary and deleted scenes from the first film. I never thought of Robocop as being representative of Jesus, and I found the director's ... The case itself is cool. I love how it opens. Only drawback to buying this boxset is that it comes with Robocop 3. Oh well, nobody's perfect.
