    Great attention to detail

I was assigned to the 70th Armor in Germany in 1967 and spent a lot of time at Fort Knox training to be a Tank Platoon leader. It is refreshing to watch a movie that did its homework and no doubt had WWll vets helping them. Life inside a tank is very close and the action is fast and no pun intended furious. The even used the M3 submachine gun which we called grease gun. It was small and we had 2 of them in our tank + all 4 of us carried a 45 cal pistol in shoulder holsters. Lots of bad things can happen when you turn the turret so you don’t need holsters to get stuck. The only Hollywood moment was Brad Pitt using the fifty cal machine gun at the end of the movie. He shot about 250 to 300 rounds without reloading. The ammo box on his tank was 100 rounds. Nevertheless the movie ...

  • Good film, but too short, and condensed. I expected better. Disappointing

I have seen this movie compared to "Saving Private Ryan", and "Band of Brothers". I had high expectations, however as good as it is, it simply is not comparable, or as good as the Tom Hanks war classic, or the HBO series. The movie is too short, and doesn't make much of an effort to flesh out the characters which are excellent, and begging for more of a story. All the actors did a fantastic job in this film. The war scenes are great, but limited in their scope, and need much more story time. The movie seems condensed, and a little choppy which makes it uncomfortable to watch. For all the effort put into this film, the makers should have spent more time on this project, and extended it considerably. A good film, but it could have been so much better, and that is ...

  • great movie, amazing action, great picture quality

i was very satisfied with this movie. It had amazing picture quality and realistic sound. The action scenes were amazing with crisp details. For example: you could actually see moving parts on guns when they fired them and tiny fragments from explosions. just great

  • 3" steel was NOT enough to keep a crewman safe in a Sherman tank in WWII.

In 1975, I was enlisted as an "11 echo", an armored crewman or tanker. "FURY" is as close to what my experiences in a modern tanker life was like as has ever been depicted. Our M-60A1 and the advanced M-60A2 (called the 'Starship') were slightly more spacious than the Sherman M-4A3 FURY, but it was still much like living in a phone booth the whole time. Death was something you were either comfortable with or you could go insane with worrying about death. Fury brought this emotion back and revealed it to an audience very accurately to how it really was like inside a 30-ton tank. GREAT movie! 5 thumbs up!

  • Masterpiece

What a great movie. Highly accurate. Actual tanks involved. The special features are a must! Yes that really was a real Tiger tank. All actors do so well at portraying their characters that you really feel for them. Very, Very, Good.
