    Guy Clark rides again!

    Guy Clark continues to be a great example of Texas songwriter's crafty ways of using words to better explain an emotion than any picture could ever do. The quality of musicianship and attention to detail in this recording is of a high level. I had the good fortune of setting on the stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival two years ago during a Guy Clark performance. It was a rainy day, but the Guy Clark fans braved the rain for the entire set. I have been waiting to get a copy of The Guitar song since then. This album should be listened to in segments. I suspect that you will come away with a different "favorite song" each time. I think that I will put on the CD again on this cold day in New Orleans!

    Great Guitar work!

    This CD has some of the best guitar and great lyrics. Good value for your money!!! Clean country sound with extreme Spanish flamingo sound on the song The Guitar, which is what lead me to this Artist music in the first place. I have to say I'm happy with the whole CD!

    Guy Clark - The Song Writes You

    Having been a Guy Clark fan for many years, this CD is exactly what I have come to expect from him. It's chock full of personal feelings with a touch of outside influence. It is raw, simple, and truthful. This is the best CD since the release of "Keepers".

    Even When it Burns, it'll Always Finish Clean...

    I bought this album because it was next. I listen to it because, like so many of Guy's albums, it gets better the more you listen to it, allowing it to become familiar like an old friend. The real gems (to me) are songs I've heard live, The Guitar and Hemmingway's Whiskey. I liked them even better live, so go catch the show.

    Guy Clark

    My husband listens to XM Radio and suggested I find this CD - the song "The Guitar" has got to be one of the best songs I've heard in a while, snet chills down my spine!!! He has a excellent way of telling stories in his songs and I would recommend giving this CD a listen - well worht the time!
