    Sinbad the Good Guy

    A good quality costume epic, the kind that you would want to watch more that once. Sinbad goes after the treasure of Alexander the Great hidden on an island. At the same time, he races against a petty ruler who is also after the treasure, believing the riches will help him in his quest for world domination. In the final sequence, Sinbad utilizes "Greek fire" to defeat his domineering rival, so that he can bring back the treasure to his home port. However, rather than enrich himself, he gives it all away to the locals and tells him that the real riches can be found within. It's kind of inspiring, actually; the script is heavy with flowery, poetic language. The movie could have used a little bit more of the fantasy element.     It is done in a style not seen these days Sinbad comes to us as a hopeless romantic thrill seeking his way to fortune and love The physical acting is just polished enough to keep you Hanging to the next scene Of course the climax comes but it is too small a set to be emotionally overwhelming The purpose of the tale is revealed at the end The journey was as important as the destination

    Sinbad's greatest adventure

    This movie was one of my favorites when I was a kid. A lost treasure, bad guys holding your life in the balance, will the guy get the girl? All of these are essential elements in any action adventure.
