    Geostorm

    Okay so it won’t win an Oscar. Very few of my favorite movies were in that category anyway. The worst acting was the Fassbinder character. She seemed stiff like she had to use the bathroom or something. Other than that the 3D effects were decent enough to be called 3D and it looked good on my 4K 3D TV. Personally I enjoyed the storyline that showed more than a natural disaster happening just because its a natural disaster out of whack. This story had some kind of kick to why they were actually occurring due to some nasty human involvement.

    3D version recommended

    Really not bad. Don't know why all the hate for Butler in any number of reviews. I felt he delivered the goods, and, unlike Garcia, looks like an aging human being rather than a plastic surgery-created automaton. In fact all the acting is fairly strong, and their are some classic moments/one liners. ("Marry her!"). And the special effects are very good as well. As for the ending, well, if you like saccharine... But, the main reason I'm taking the time to write this review is to applaud the 3D conversion. Yeah, there are some ghosting issues, but, overall it's very well done. More importantly, besides the depth, which enhances all the disaster movie scenes, there are some nice gimmick (in-your-face) shots. Would there have been more...
