Frank at one of his best
Frank Sinatra plays a great role with passion and humor. Virna Lisa adds the beauty. Will keep you on the edge of your seat. A must have for any Sinatra fan.

Assault on a Queen (DVD, 2012)
Pretty far fetched ides, but kind of an enjoyable film. At the time of filming, this was a pretty exciting prospect, but today, these old Sinatra movies are, dated, and whereas when it was new we might have said WOW, today we say . . ."come on...!" The premise of finding an old German sub on the ocean floor, and being dry inside after almost twenty years is not believable. To go even further and imagine that it could be raised simply by blowing ballast tanks still holding that much air for twenty years, is even more ridiculous. Next we have a corroded hull, 160'long, weighing at least 950 tons being towed to a secure location that is totally out of sight, and with just five men and a "Barbie Doll" girl (Virna Lizi), they pull off an overhaul that 100 experienced ... Pretty far fetched ides, but kind of an enjoyable film. My favorite Frank Sinatra movie
Awesome surrealistic yarn that takes place in a much older, more civilized world. A group of unlikely characters get together to plan the perfect heist. That should be looked at as oceans six. Except it was really in the ocean! What always impresses me about this movie is how a group of different people with disimilar backgrounds, some almost diametric opposites, come together to pull off this “perfect crime“. Yet, towards the end of the movie, the true character of each of these people comes out and shows that both, at the same time defines each individual (Not necessarily in a negative way) and invalidates the compatibility of the mission. Alas, Tony Franciosa his character will but forever be short sighted thief, The Nazi will always be a Nazi, and Frank Sinatra will always be a red, ... Not what I remember.
Thin plot, not realistic. Cheap sets, look like water scenes shot in a swimming pool. Actors look like they just showed up for the day's pay. Very disappointing memory.
