    Great film, poor promotion

    This is n underrated film. Everything in it respects the original source and offers a new vision on the Burroughs stories and characters. A pity Disney mis-treated it so badly during promotion and made it fail miserably. It deserved better.

    A good production and true to the book

    The movie is entertaining with a nice pace. Erb, the author of these John Carter books had an imagination that keep the reader coming for more. This movie is the first one in the series. Too bad that Hollywood did not feel the desire to continue with more from this set. John Carter, predates all of the movies of this type and is a welcome to all people that like Sci Fi movies

    Highly underated with a smart, suprise ending!

    I have seen this movie many times before and although it had a good story and lots of eye candy, it was the ending that made the movie special in my opinion.

    Speaks for itself.

    I found the movie to be very enjoyable. The only thing I would change is the disney corporation as producers,these people think they can pick which movies are worth making and which are not! To many companies fall back on focus groups an the like.This franchise should have gone on to make a number of films but everything disney touches turns to dust it seems to me! I just hope when another great story like "JOHN CARTER OF MARS" comes along they stay as far from disney flunkies as possible!
