  • Nigel Calder's Marine Diesel Engine

To me, this is THE source, for maintaining a diesel engine. He is also the author of the Boat Owner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual and a contributing editor to Sail Magazine. I prefer this earlier edition because I have an older (pre 1990 diesel inboard. I consider these two volumes to be an essential supplement to my Owners Manual.

  • Great reference book.

Like all of Nigal's books it is well written and an excellant reference to have on the boat. It covers more than gust diesels but also transmission and propellors.
