  • A different kind of novel.

This book hints at things quite profound concerning the nature of man and the formulation of dogmas in religions around the world... great characters, and all around one of the better lesser known books I've ever found.

  • Classic of it's time

Regrettably the font size is so small I am not able to read it. The condition of the book is fine and shipping and packing was good.

  • Sci-fi classic

A very engaging read. The characters are well developed. The author presents the world through the characters' points of view expertly. The setting, a post-nuclear war America, is interesting and the author's vision of a future culture looking back on the technology of today(Well the 1960's when the book was written) is very interesting. The book is broken up into three sections, three time periods, with the monks of St. Leibowitz providing the common thread. Ultimately this is a sci-fi book that is as well conceived and as well written as any piece of literature. Miller Jr. won the Hugo award for this work and it was well deserved.

  • the title was what hooked me

great book. I was sorry it had to end!

  • An allegory of our times

This book is well written and original. This book displays how much we may not know about the history of humanity and that our psychology will perhaps lead us again and again to destruction.
