Crisp and Clear, Great overall Presence
My setup is 2.1 right now with Marantz A/V and an Outlaw subwoofer. We have limited space so these work really well. I am a fan of larger speakers in general, so this is about the smallest I'd go even for surrounds. Eventually these will be my surrounds, and I look forward to building my system with them creating a nice surround presence. The stereo image and overall presence is quite nice - similar to the Bose wave radio with added flexibility in placement and a wide stereo image. They draw a little more power than I expected. I would recommend pairing them with other Mirage speakers because they do have a character/tonality that is somewhat unique. I would say they compare with high end klipsch for the highs and high end polks for the mids. Beautiful design and quality materials. ... Fantastic Omnidirectional Speakers
Fantastic omnidirectional sound in a desktop speaker. Know what you want - this is perfect for classical music, especially orchestral. I suspect jazz would be good as well, but I don't do jazz. If you like atmospheric live venue acoustics, then there's a chance you'll like these. Match them with a good subwoofer for the lower frequencies - I'm using a Rel, which isn't powerful but is very tuneful and musical. BTW, these little guys are bigger than what I expected, because there's a Chinese ripoff I've been listening to which are tiny. These Mirage are small for a traditional bookshelf, but bigger than the little desktop computer speakers coming out these days, so check the measurements. Bottom line is they're a bit clunky/ugly, if that matters to you, but wow, they're all beauty when you ... Fantastic omnidirectional sound in a desktop speaker. I planned to purchase a Mirage speaker for some time based on good technical reviews. The one received was lightly used and lived up to my expectations. A high quality piece of audio equipment.

Great speakers
These speakers are amazing. Matched with a good subwoofer they provide amazing sound in mid-size rooms. i would recommend them to anyone.
