    Inside American Corruption

Best movie ever, no one will see! I watch movies, go to film festivals, and the local theatre. They engage nearly all of your senses and emotions. Redefines the "horror" genre in that this is taking place in real time by the most sinister people in modern times. Great academic study of "sociopaths".

  • Excellent excllent Documentary, Simplifies a complex Ordeal

I never leave reviews but for products this incredible I feel obligated to do my part by spreading the word. Aka, something has to be extremely misrepresented or extremely well done for me to drop my studies to speak about a product. I have not seen this directors other documentary but this one is so great I will have to watch anything he puts out. Its so well executed. I watch a lot of documentaries, I mean Im at the library every week for like a decade. this is one of the best. THe financial crisis from 2008 is for sure complex. The way this film is written and done, it makes it really easy to understand what went down. I have never seen so many people lie on camera in my life. The film does a good job at letting these people speak for themselves. Many experts and peripheral ...

  • The banksters in action ....

A devastating documentary on the financial collapse in 2008 and how it happened. Director C. Ferguson pulls no punches in documenting how all the major investment banks, politicians on both sides of the aisle, ratings agencies, regulators, and economists worked together. He shows how the money generated from selling risky securities to governments and pension funds got recycled back to buy politicians and manage the crisis in a way that made the banks richer and more powerful. Ferguson demonstrates in detail how those greedy banks pulled off one of the greatest crimes in history and instead of locking these people up the government gave them bailouts. Well-narrated by Matt Damon. Length 108 minutes.

  • you will not regret getting this film.

you will not regret getting a copy of this film. some of the highlights to me were the explanation of credit default swaps, how "change we can believe in" was no change at all with geitner, bernanke, etc staying of board--the exact same people. it's fascinating to hear the heads of the rating agencies try to explain why their evaluations were so wrong-- they basically say their report is their freedom of speech and is not intended to predict the suitability of an investment-- keep in mind these are the same people who just downgraded u.s. treasuries with the seeming air of certainty. makes you wonder. "economists" seem to be more like hired writers with no ethics. there is a line in "ma and pa kettle go to town" that seems ...

  • Educational to the person not in the know.

Wanted to see if the dvd supported what I already figured out through watching different TV programs and reading other materials. It did and went beyond that. The documentary helps one understand what the 2008 financial crisis was about, that it continues to plague us, but more importantly it tells the viewers who wish to care to see that starting with the election of the second rate actor Ronald Reagan as President, the big players in the financial industry have systomatically taken over the Federal government. Our government officials, with a possible few exceptions like Ron Paul have sold their greedy souls to the financial industry and unless someone comes along to set things right, things will only continue to get worst until we become, if we have not already, a nation of the haves ...
