Howl's Moving Castle is an enchanting story, rather like fairy tale.

Howl's Moving Castle is an enchanting story, rather like fairy tale. Howl's Moving Castle is about, Sophie a plucky young women, who is discontented with her boring life, working in a hat shop, until, she is cursed by the Witch of the Waste. Best cover

I did not like the book at all, all the things i liked about the movie was removed from the book and a hundred unneccecary things were added. The cover, however, was absolutely stunning and makes me want to display the book in my house had it not been such a stinging reminder of how wrong the book was to me.

  • Wonderful story, with fun, flawed characters

I'm a big fan of Miyazaki's adaptation of Howl's Moving Castle, and I've always wanted to read the book. I found the book to be quite excellent and I wish Miyazaki would have made Sophie have powers like she has in the book. I would love to read more adventures of Howl & Sophie. I'd also love some individual stories on Sophie's sisters. I don't agree with some reviews that they wanted to know more about the cities. I think the characters backgrounds, thoughts, and feelings are far more important.

  • Used Howl's Moving Castle

The book arrived quickly. It's a used book so wear/use was expected. The story itself is light hearted and fun. It is different than the movie but still entertaining. It fills in a few holes/questions the movie leaves you with.

  • Movie is better

This book is written for a third grade reading level. It has cute parts, but I think the film makes the characters a bit more likeable. That being said, I'm still glad I read this book. It's always fun to see the differences of film and book.
