    Better than Rathbone

    Loved the (precar) real setting, like that of the original storyline, unlike the Basil Rathbone years. Also the characters were believable and pretty true to how I had pictured them, in my mind, when I read the book. Fairly accurate to story plus just a hint of Hollywood adlib, Not bad at all. The picture was old style without the grainy look and dropouts in sound like Rathbone, Owen and more like Jeremy Brett whose movies were relatively clear to watch and hear. One minor gripe was the hound. Not huge and scary as I would have expected. Better that way if the kids want to watch it. Pretty good DVD!

    Hound of the Baskervilles DVD

    This is my favorite Sherlock Holmes mystery and I have 7 different versions of this tale on DVD. I enjoy watching the different interpretations of the story. This is a good version but not my favorite, but still very entertaining.

    worst movie of the 3 made of this story

    there has been 3 movies made of the hound of the baskervilles and to me this one is the worst and most boring....even the hound is not scary at the least......
