The frenzy that erupts threatens to tear apart the prairie-dog town forever. But when mean ol' Big Bark is kidnapped after taking all the fuzz for himself, the prairie dogs come to the rescue and remember the true meaning of community.

    The Great Fuzz Frenzy: 4 paws

    Wonderful book! The book is based on a true incident and I can only imagine that her Golden couldn't understand what happenned to the ball. Great illustrations - it's obvious that the artist knows Golden Retrievers. Excellent for asking students to predict what will happen next. The book has won several honors: 2006 Notable Children's Book in the English Language Arts, 2007 Colorado Children's Book Award, 2007 North Dakota Flicker Tail Award, 2006 Wanda Gag Book Award. The author's website (http://www.susanstevenscrummel.com) has descriptions of books she's written.
