A crime saga with a youthful edge, “21 Jump Street” is an action-adventure series that labors to bring down the number of law breakers by nipping them in the bud. This DVD series dealt with a group of youthful undercover police officers who posed as high school students in order to crack down on drug dealers and adult miscreants who targeted vulnerable teens. Johnny Depp, the lead actor for most episodes, drove this action-adventure to a huge success on television and targeted the youth as their audience. Tom Hanson played by Johnny Depp was joined by fellow police officers, Holly Robinson as Judy Hoffs, Dustin Nguyen as Harry Truman Ioki, and Peter DeLuise as Doug Penhall to curb crime throughout this DVD set. Produced by Stephen J. Cannell and created along with Patrick Hasburgh, “21 Jump Street” was made in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Going a step forward, Fox Television established a telephone hotline that proved to be a channel for the youth to voice their experience, for grievance redressal or even to simply make a suggestion to improvise the show,“21 Jump Street”.

    Clever!

    21 Jump Street is a ridiculously fun parody of the ridiculously not so fun TV Show of the same name. Self aware and self depreciating, Channing Tatum & Jonah Hill are obviously having a good time, and it's hard to not join in the silliness. Recommended!

    Not sure why Hill and Tatum chose this movie - they deserve better. They are the only good thing about this movie-they work well together. The directing could be tighter, not to mention the lame dialogue.

    great movie if you are a fan of the original as well

    too often, film updates of classic tv shows rely on no name recognition rather than quality storytelling. since these projects are almost always artistic failures, 21 jump street is a wonderful surprise. this take on the 1980s tv show boasts a terrific script, a top notch cast and an artistic vision that sets it apart from its inspiration. jonah hill gets much of the credit because not only stars in the film, he helped conceive the story. the focus is on morton schmidt (hill) and greg jenko (channing tatum) former high school classmates who meet while making their way through police academy. both men are selected because of their youthful appearances to go undercover at a high school in hopes of busting a drug ring. but school is much different a second time around. rather than trying to ...

    an attempt at remaking the television show

    the movie starts by showing two boys in high school.one kid dresses like eminem and is asking his neighbor to the prom.the other boy is a jock.the jock totally makes fun of him for asking the girl to the prom.hence after his faliure to ask the girl to the prom it is 7 years later.the nerd and the jock coincidently are both trying out at the police force.the jock is not good at the paper test and the nerd is not good at the physical tests.together the two become friends and help each other out.they graduate and both become police officers.they botch there first bust and then are assigned to jumpstreet.they both go to high scool and act as teenagers.they are there to help find out who is dealing a new kind of drug and find the supplier.the movie is predictable from here.they find the dealer ...
