The Olympus 35 RC 35 mm Rangefinder camera was manufactured in Japan during the 1970s. This company made the 35 RC a staple of many studio sessions, and it can still be useful for owners who prefer a vintage and retro feel. The black and metal appearance delivers a classic look that highlights the case's durability. This camera body is revered by professional photographers, collectors, and enthusiasts. This body has a two-bladed mechanical leaf shutter that allows changes at any time. Switch between the Bulb and 1/500 settings with just the turn of a button. Shutter speeds are 1/500, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, and Bulb. Each shutter speed delivers artistic images that highlight different perspectives. Several exposure modes are available for this selection, and these settings can be metered for added practicality and shutter priority. The shutter release adapts to the situations and assists controls, and the aperture may also be controlled through these easy-to-adjust modes. The Olympus brand name is stamped in black on the front of the body and in white on the front of the lens. This camera body is designed for use with different lenses, most notably the Olympus 42 mm f/2.8 E-Zuiko lens that is covered with blue and amber coloring to improve clarity as well as definition. In a departure from other cameras in the series, this model uses commas in place of periods for f stops. The use of a guide number system also helps photographers make quick conversions. Markings are stamped in yellow, white, and orange on the lens and body. On the camera, a center-weighted meter defines image selection, and the CDS bypasses the lens and uses a filter. There is a range of EV 7 to 18, or 1/15 at f/2.8 to 1/500 at f/22. The ASA/DIN range does not go straight through the field and skips some settings. This is a smaller Olympus 35 mm camera with less weight throughout the body. It weighs 14.5 ounces, or 410 grams. The overall size is 4.25 by 2.75 by 1.938 inches, or 109 by 70 by 50 millimeters. It relies on one 1.35-volt mercury battery to power the various features of the 35 RC body. Many common battery models and variations can act as a replacement power source. Removal and replacement options are set in a few quick steps. This Olympus 35 RC device has a self-timer function that gives photographers 10 seconds to establish a shot, and it can be conveniently set with a lever. There are lugs for attaching a camera strap or a similar carrier. A hot shoe is placed on top of the body for automatic accessories, like a flash. Simply slide the flash accessory into place to begin using it. The Flashmatic system ensures the flash will be ready when needed. There is also a 35 RC socket that controls the cable release. You can smoothly attach a tripod in the specially crafted slots on the base.
